Up to this point, I’ve shown some of the weddings I’ve had the pleasure of shooting but with today being my 6yr anniversary, I should post some of my photos!
I wasn’t into photography 6yrs ago, I was coaching youth basketball and that’s where I invested some of my free time. I soon fell in love with shooting photos, and my new Father-In-Law gave me his Minolta Maxxim 7000 with a couple of lenses and a flash. It began there.
To be honest, my Wife picked Mark Anthony Studios to shoot our wedding as they shot other family members’ weddings; I could care less about photos as most Grooms can agree. I was simply in charge of my suit and suits for the men and the DJ [Shout Out to DJ eWonder formerly Fame 1]. I actually didn’t even know where we were taking photos on our wedding day! I got lost with the Maid of Honor and my Mother on the way to the site. We drove by it a few times in the heavy Friday afternoon traffic. My future Father-In-Law said to me on my phone, “Sheldon, I can see you and you passed it AGAIN”. Welcome to his family.
When we found our way, everything went smoothly even though we were very behind schedule. It was amazing to see my Bride looking beautiful. At that moment I didn’t care about the lateness (sounds like me in high school hunh?). It was the one day (contrary to my long standing belief) that the party REALLY doesn’t start until I get there.
But we took our photos and rushed to the ceremony at DiNardo’s Mansion in Aurora and the rest is history!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who made the wedding day go smoothly (Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, family and helpers) and everyone who has been there for me and my Wife Katherine [Mrs Photosapien] since that day.
I also thank the good Lord for a wonderful & amazing woman. Love you.
