Sometimes you need a different point of view to see things differently. What I mean is that a big city like Detroit have some non big city beauty like Belle Isle State Park.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the noise and busyness of the big city. The tall buildings can be an amazing backdrop for photography. So when I got asked to shoot Lesley’s Detroit wedding, I thought of an urban scene.  But she mentioned there is an amazing spot OUTSIDE of the city that will be the scene for her ceremony and photo taking.  I was blown away.  Belle Isle Park had tall hedges, a greenhouse, pretty flowers and green grass, not the Detroit I’ve experienced the 3 or 4 times I’ve visited previously.  I wasn’t complaining.

Motown’s best kept secret had me drooling to take more shots but we were on a time limit.  I think my camera, the good looking couple and nature’s garden made sweet music together, considering it wasn’t what I expected.
