I know, I know the first word in the title of the blog post isn’t even really a word. Just read on.
I booked my first destination wedding, [YEAH! I guess I’m now a Destination Wedding Photographer?] and had the fortune of having the couple come to my home city for a few days for engagement photos. Lucky me. Unlucky me, it was raining all day. I believe everything will work out for the best in the end so, I convinced Natalie, the Bride-to-be, that we will not be cancelling the shoot. It MUST go on!
On the day of the engagement photos, it rained, it was cold but we all soldiered through it. I also had to work hard at making Trevor, the Groom-to-be, feel comfortable. He was cold and I suspect was a bit camera-shy. But as I later found out, he is very much a quiet man. I was just glad it wasn’t me making him quiet.
We went from spot to spot, covering ourselves from the drops of water, and taking advantage of whenever there were breaks in the downpour to shoot away from covered areas and doorways.
We all survived and from what I hear, none of us got a cold from being in the cold. God is good.
Here are some of the photos from the shoot. Please enjoy them from you warm, dry homes.
By the way, I don’t think I’ve written the word ‘cold’ so many times in a blog post before. It really wasn’t THAT cold. I mean, cold is when there’s white stuff falling from the sky and icicles hanging from your eye lids. You get my point.
