One of the more fun times at a wedding shoot is when all of the ceremonial photos are done, the food has been eaten and I’ve followed the Bridal Party from house to hotel to church and park; the smile photo booth.
Guests get a chance to take photos with the Bride, Groom and each other. They can do whatever they want in front of my camera (within the legal limits of Canadian law).
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy the unpredictability and vastness of a wedding photo shoot. You get every aspect of photography all rolled into a pressure packed 8+ hours. The portraits, candid shots, family photos, action sequences of people getting their groove on, but nothing is more fun than a photo booth.
People line up to get photos taken when they don’t have to be so formal. Who cares if the tie is crooked or if the hair and make up are not as pristine as 6 hours earlier. Mix in a few props and it’s a full blown party, you know what I mean.
I’ve decided to do more photo booth shots because there needs to be more fun near the end of the night.
I’ve posted some photos from the most fun part of the day at Deer Creek Golf Club in Ajax.
