I’ve noticed that weddings seem to have a similar vibe. It starts off slow and everyone is nervous. Then the nervous meter shoots up just as everyone gets to the church. Once the kiss is done, the fun begins. I guess a few sips of champagne in the limo also helps. Then it’s an all out party. Ebb and flow. We as Photographers gotta be able to keep up.
Keep up is what I had to do at Steve & Jill’s wedding. This wedding had so many unexpected and expected moments. There was a pre get ready beer spill that hit a Groomsman’s shirt. Then there was the threat of early rain. There was loud kids, hoola hooping, stolen golf carts, great music that kept the Bride on the dance floor when I wanted to show her my iPad with photos, enough food to fill an elephant, I got dragged onto the dance floor for photos by guests, tears mixed in with laughter from the Bride and the craziest Smile Photo Booth ever! You will see those photos later.
I want to congratulate Steve & Jillian on getting hitched and also for bringing me along their wild wedding day.
